Membership
Membership is $10.00 for individuals, $15.00 for families (Couples and children 18 yrs. of age) Annually. We also encourage membership in the KY State Beekeepers Association and Certified Kentucky Honey Producer Memebership (which includes you KSBA annual dues). Our Club Membership in the Capital City Beekeepers Association is beneficial to experienced and new beekeepers alike. Our membership is a diverse and vibrant group that includes folks from all walks of life! More experienced members are always happy to answer the questions of those just starting out and all members are invited to sell their honey at CCBA sales events. The club organizes several events throughout the year that offer opportunities to learn, network, and sell honey and bee-related products. All club members also receive a discount on equipment from Dadant & Sons, Inc. |

The first part of the meeting is a mentor program where new and old beekeepers can meet to find answers to questions about their hives. The regular meeting follows the mentor program where old and new business is discussed. If you are not yet a member but would like to learn more, feel free to attend a meeting!

Events

- Frankfort Candlelight Tour - The club organizes a group sale for members of the club in November.
- Extractions - The club organizes the communal use of extracting equipment to help beekeepers harvest their honey without purchasing equipment.
- Annual Member Potluck - Each fall, the members gather for a potluck, guest speaker on beekeeping issues, and a brief business meeting. Door prizes are awarded and upcoming club elections are discussed.
- Bluegrass Beekeeping School - Held in early March at Kentucky State University, the club co-hosts this event in conjunction with Bee Friendly Frankfort events.
